Today, a few words about Julien Dussarrat , better known in Biscarrosse as "Duss".
We grew up together bodyboarding on the beaches of Biscarrosse , learning to read the ocean and appreciate every session. One day, Duss started having back problems and put bodyboarding aside, only taking it out again when the waves in the Landes du Nord region are really producing barrels. So he switched to longboarding, and it's funny to see how he's kept his style and flow while adapting it to this new discipline.
 Today he runs his
surf school, Villa Sunshine, on the very same beaches where we learned to surf. Duss lives in harmony with the ocean, dividing his time between surfing, fishing, and searching for the best sandbanks during long walks.

He was also one of the first to adopt our
Yulex natural rubber wetsuits because his entire daily life and surf school are designed to minimize their environmental impact. He uses surfboards made in France that last longer than those used by most surf schools. He has his students travel by bike and teaches them best practices for respecting the places where they'll be riding the waves...

Among the projects I have in mind, I think it would be interesting to film a short video documentary about Duss. What do you think? Feel free to leave comments or write to us to share your thoughts.
