When talking about wetsuits, it's sometimes difficult to grasp the real differences between brands and models. After hearing our customers say so often that Sen No Sen is the best wetsuit brand, I thought it was time to talk about it! So why?

It's difficult to get the right information!
Each brand uses its own marketing strategy, and sometimes it's virtually impossible for surfers to compare wetsuits. In fact, some brands rely solely on marketing to try and convince surfers to buy from them, and I see some downright ridiculous claims like "the new Limestone" or wetsuits greener than green... in short, it's sometimes just too much.
Media gear reviews are often biased because you have to pay to participate. If we don't pay, we're not included in the review. Furthermore, it's difficult for a magazine to criticize its own advertisers. Ultimately, it's more of a non-exhaustive catalog than a truly objective review, so the reader doesn't come away with any real information to help them choose wetsuits. Yet, SenNoSen was voted the best European brand in Surf Session's review, but we've decided not to participate for the time being.
You can find blogs that talk about wetsuits, but I can assure you that the person writing the text hasn't tested each wetsuit in the water to be able to discuss and compare them. I've recently read some truly unbelievable things in articles about wetsuits. Also, be wary of blogs sometimes run by "casual" divers who don't have the necessary experience to talk about technical products.

At SEN NO SEN , I wouldn't say we're better than others, because some brands offer very interesting things. For example, on the sustainability and eco-responsibility front, PATAGONIA introduced Yulex natural rubber to the market, and that was definitely beneficial. We followed suit by also producing a line of wetsuits made from natural rubber. Our mission is to combine the quality of our manufacturing with the use of Yulex to create a durable wetsuit designed with the least possible impact.

If you take all the very high-end wetsuit brands like RipCurl, Sen No Sen, O'Neill, Xcel, Billabong, you can find very good wetsuits too, and I wouldn't say that we are "better" in this range where the wetsuit models are equal in terms of quality, warmth and comfort.
But then why say that Sen No Sen combinations are the best combinations?
The answer lies more in our approach.
From day one, I wanted to offer the best possible wetsuit for everyday surfing. The one I wear to surf all wave conditions, all year round, only changing the thickness depending on the water temperature.
- A cut adapted to paddling movements and the gestures of the different surfing disciplines: shortboard, longboard, bodyboard, bodysurf.

- Choosing the best materials: limestone neoprene and Yulex natural rubber to use the thinnest possible thickness in every season. You can surf in 3mm in the southwest during winter. Our 4/3mm wetsuits can be used in water temperatures of 9 or 10°C.

- The suits are assembled by hand with meticulous attention to detail to ensure greater durability.

- We also have a customer service available 7 days a week to assist you in choosing your wetsuit, but also throughout its lifetime with an alterations and repairs service near Hossegor.

And we could also talk about price because for the quality offered, we are at the fairest price possible.
But we're also seeing the arrival of brands like DEEPLY, OLAIAN (DECATHLON), NEED ESSENTIALS, and SRFACE, which are disrupting market prices with products that, while certainly not top-of-the-line, are admittedly much better than entry-level options. These brands promise to provide you with "good" wetsuits at affordable prices.
But "cheap" always comes at a price, as you'll likely have to replace your wetsuit more frequently. Over the same period, this ends up being more expensive than buying a single wetsuit that will last.
And for the lifetime of your wetsuit, SEN NO SEN offers the option of having it repaired in our Hossegor workshop, where we can also repair wetsuits from other brands. Learn more here.
Is Sen No Sen the best wetsuit brand currently available?
Ultimately, our customers say that today we have become the best wetsuit brand because
- without advertising in traditional media, without a WSL pro surfer, without year-round promotions, we sell our wetsuits very well.
 - Our customers are happy with the products and service we provide because they are at the heart of the entire project. We make the suits we want to wear every day. Ultimately, the numerous positive testimonials are our best advertising, and the users of our suits are our best ambassadors.
 - We try to satisfy the most demanding needs such as offering a customization service , according to tastes and uses.

In fact, the only remaining objection when talking about SEN NO SEN is now "but it's a bodyboarder's brand," proving that there aren't many negative arguments left about wetsuits. That's why many surfers order wetsuits from us, as you can see on our "surfing wall of fame."
Our wetsuits are designed for those who love spending time in the ocean and riding the waves, whether on a shortboard, bodyboard, longboard, or bodysurf... #Peoplefromtheocean
In conclusion, I would say that it is up to you to form your own opinion on our surf suits by trying them out, and if you would like to discuss this with us, simply contact us; we love talking about wetsuits.
