July and August are two intense months when you live on the coast. The influx of tourists is enormous and our village goes from a handful of inhabitants to several tens of thousands, transforming into a giant amusement park, the ocean being one of our guests' favorite activities.
Personally, I spend a lot of time at the Sen No Sen shop in Arcachon, where the opening hours have been significantly extended. For Julien, who is a surf instructor, it means long days spent sharing his passion with tourists.
So, when the school year starts again in early September and the beach empties out to regain a more natural appearance, it's the perfect time for us to enjoy the ocean once more, taking our time, without having to pay attention to those around us, sharing these special moments that will multiply again over the next 10 months. This first "off-season" session has a special flavor, that's for sure.
Today the waves weren't really there so we took the big boards and had a lot of fun anyway.
